Revtech's technology plays a role in battery recycling through the continuous treatment of shredded Li-ion battery material, directly after shredding and before the various battery components are sorted. This step does not strictly remove water but rather electrolytes, so the term \"stripping\" is often used instead of \"drying\". The operating principle, however, remains the same.
